The Purpose of United Women of Faith, formerly known

as United Methodist Women, is adopted by the General Conference of The United Methodist Church as the official mission statement of United Women of Faith. United Women of Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Out of the Purpose are four mission goals that relate to the mission initiatives and priorities of United Women of Faith.

1) To be a community of women;

2) To know God;

3) To develop a creative and supportive fellowship and

4) To expand concepts of  mission.
